Operation Dreadnaught Book Two

Ursus

Survival was only the first battle.

The Gap has held, but the war has not ended. South of the mountains, human armies are gathering. Vulpes soldiers are still moving through the borderlands. The Council of Cities wants the North, and the Meles Nation cannot hold it alone.

Still carrying the wounds of the last campaign, Major rides north with Wormhat, Morris and Rafi to seek help from the Ursus Kingdom.

Beyond the Green Cleugh and the frozen roads of Pent-Land lies a people built for cold, hardship and war. They are powerful, isolated and slow to trust outsiders. If they stand with the Meles, the North may yet hold.

But the kingdom Major finds is not at peace.

Raids are spreading. Borders are being tested. Inside the mountains, old loyalties are breaking, and there are those who would rather tear down their own King than stand beside strangers.

Major came north to ask for an alliance.

Instead, he walks into a kingdom already fighting itself.

And if the Meles and Ursus cannot stand together, the South will come for them one nation at a time.

War didn’t end. It evolved.
