Operation Dreadnaught Book One

Major

Humanity broke the world. Now it wants the North back.

Major has spent his life in the service of the Meles Nation. He has led patrols through bad ground, buried soldiers, and carried on when others would have broken. But one name has never left him.

Ella.

Taken in a raid when they were young. Lost before he could save her. A wound covered by uniform, rank and discipline, but never healed.

Now the old enemy is moving again.

Across the North, settlements are being tested. Patrols are finding signs of organised raids. Human power is pushing out from the South, using Vulpes soldiers to probe the border and weaken the lands the Meles have defended for generations.

Major and B Troop are sent beyond the safety of the lines to find the threat, break it, and bring back whatever intelligence they can.

There are no clean battles here. No noble charges. No easy victories. Only reconnaissance, ambush, sniper work, close-quarter fighting and the hard decisions that come when a patrol is outnumbered, tired and far from help.

For Major, this operation will open more than a new war.

War didn’t end. It evolved.
